succeed. Through our experiences and knowledge, we are able to provide a unique personalized service
experience for our members.
With the Vision of Economic Justice for ALL, we strive to create a safe space for helping people who
want to increase savings and build credit, regardless of their income, credit score or immigration
status.
Equitable access through innovation
We find ways to meet our members where they are, physically and financially, and in the way they want to
be connected with. Collaboration with community and members is essential and part of our practice, to
uncover needs and gaps and develop unique products and services to fill those needs and gaps.
Through
these products, members can build and improve their credit scores, as well as build relationships with
a trusted financial institution. This is especially important for members who may be struggling to
obtain services due to scenarios like having a suspended license, or lacking an ITIN / SSN.
Professional service by a quality team of Community Tellers
We take our services on the road, connecting with people where they are at places they receive other community services. These include locations such as career support agencies, Tax preparation sites, Governmental agencies, and Social Service sites including food banks and organizations that provide support with system navigation. Through Pop Up Account Openings & Resource Tables we can onboard new members and get information out to the community about our services.
Serving members in Spanish
Nine of our 15 staff are bilingual in Spanish, allowing us to support many members in their native language. Many of our educational and collateral materials are also available in Spanish. By communicating with our members in the language they feel most comfortable, we make it easier for them navigate the financial system, understand credit and save money to help build generational wealth.

A zero-risk insured Social Impact Certificate of Deposit provides funds
for Express that are lent to low-income members and people relying on overpriced predatory finance
companies.
Your $50,000+ CD expands our lending capacity and helps cover the cost of providing free
accounts to unbanked and underbanked people in Washington State.
Choose from 1 year, 2 year or 3 year CD
maturities. Many find that multiple CDs with staggered maturities provide added flexibility. Select the
amounts for your Social Impact CDs. $50,000 and higher CDs with aggregated balances up to $250,000 are
insured with the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).
A $50,000 Social Impact CD with Express CU provides 15 low-income Washington Families with access to fair and affordable financial services, whereas a $50,000 CD at a bank only benefits the shareholders.
